This year Halloween was on a Sunday so we celebrated it on Saturday. If you look really closely at the bottom of the picture you can tell that it was starting to rain when I took this picture. Not fun when all your boys are excited to go Trick or Treating and it's cold and rainy. Owell, guess that adds to the spooky atmosphere... right?
We first headed to Nannies house to get the treats she made for the boys. My mom always makes up a goody bag of treats for each grandchild for every holiday. She got them a pumpkin bucket filled with a glow stick cap and candy. Thanks mom the boys loved it!
Since it was raining and Jaden and Brekyn were asleep when I got to her house she was kind enough to follow us in the car while I took the boys trick or treating around her neighborhood. I was surprised to see that they got a ton of candy just going to some of the houses in that neighborhood.
They had fun visiting with Tyler and Taggert, too.
After that was done we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Jackson's for more fun. Justin and Koda were set on getting as much candy as possible this year and, well, when we got to Grandma and Grandpa's they were more interested in playing with cousins than getting more candy. Which was ok with me because it gave me a break from walking from house to house. Of course Grandma was stocked with more treats for the boys. Candy bars and bat tins filled with candy.
Oh the joys of Halloween and the wonder of being a child again.
Thanks Nanny and Grandma and Grandpa for being such wonderful grandparents!
You make every holiday sweeter.
Happy Halloween everyone!!!
Ooops, I forgot to mention why Justin isn't in his Optimus Prime costume. He loved his costume so much that he kept wearing it after school and it got a rip in the back. About 6 inches long! I didn't find time to sew it so we found his BMX racing gear and went with that idea. HE got a lot of comments on how cool it was so he wasn't so upset about not being able to wera his Optimus Prime costume.
