Happy Birthday Justin

Happy 6th Birthday to my miracle baby, Justin!  Yesterday my first baby boy turned the big 6!!!

Oh, Justin how you have filled our lives with joy and excitement and our hearts can not contain the love we fill for you.  You are SO dang smart and I'm amazed at how you keep us on our toes everyday. You have the sweetest spirit and are so kind to your brothers.  I love to see you grow mentally and spiritually and I can't wait to see what your Heavenly Father has in store for you.
I don't know what I would do without you in my life and I thank Heavenly Father everyday that he sent you to me and your dad.  We love you with all our hearts!
Love, Mom

K-9 demo at Justin's school

Yesterday was Justin's 6th brithday and since his school won't allow treats we thought it would be fun and educational to have Jeromy come do a K-9 demo for the kindergarteners.

The teacher in the skirt is Justin's teacher Mrs. Adorno.  She was very excited to have Jeromy come do a demo.  The teacher in the pants, Mrs. Todd, her husband is a K-9 officer and knows all about the life of having a K-9.  Her husbands K-9 was shot and killed protecting her husband on duty.  They then got another K-9 and it turned out to be blind.  How they let that happen I will never know.  They finally have another K-9 and it's working out just fine but I can't believe all the heartache they've been through.

All the kids got to come and pet Turo if they wanted to.  Justin got to pet his own dog and was so proud to have Turo and his daddy at his school.

You can tell he was loving yesterday!

Since yesterday was his birthday he got to wear a special birthday hat.

This is Isaac, Justin's buddy in school.  They play every day at recess time.

I had a 10 minute video of Jeromy's demo but I guess it was too long to download so these pictures are all we get for right now.

Mrs. Adorno told Jeromy that the kids played Cops and K9 dogs at recess yesterday beacuse of the demo.
How cute is that!  I'm glad you had a great birthday, day my cute little man!  I'm so glad that Heavenly Father sent you to us and I love you very much!

Our day at Sand Hollow Reservoir

This was the whole reason we went camping this past weekend was because Jeromy and Terrence signed up to dive at Sand Hollow reservoir to help pick up trash at the bottom of it.  Every piece of trash you brought up got you a ticket for the Dive Utah raffle.  The only thing that sucked this weekend was Terrence broke his foot and so he couldn't be Jeromy's dive buddy.  Luckily Terrence asked out load if Jeromy had found a dive buddy and the guy next to us on the beach said Jeromy could be buddies with him and his partner.  Thanks so much Terrence for helping Jeromy get a dive buddy and I'm so sorry you couldn't dive this weekend.
I guess this reservoir is a dive training reservoir so they had buried an airplane, VW van, and a toilet just so you had something interesting to look at and see.  They also had an obstacle course for divers to test or train their skills on.  Jeromy had a lots of fun and won a couple of prizes too!  One prize was valued at $80.  He also won a free dive equipment rental for a day which includes everything you need to go diving.

Mommies little fishes.
I forgot to bring their swimming suits because I didn't know that we could go sit on the beach and have the boys swim so we found these at the local Walmart for a $1.

Jaden had a ton of fun playing in the sand.
This sand was so nice.  No sharp rocks and was so soft.  It was pretty too!

After we had lunch and cooled off a bit I let Brekyn play in the sand and water too.  He loved it!  He's always loved the water but he was having a blast walking on the beach and crawling in the sand. Needless to say he was covered from head to toe with sand.
Brekyn's cute little feet in the sand

Jaden is sporting his 1/2 moon.  This kid is skin and bones and no matter what I do his shorts never stay up.

After daddy got done diving he played in the water with the boys.

There goes my beach baby in the sand.

Midnight snack

Justin and I have had this tradition since Koda was born.  After all the kids have had their mommy time and are asleep, if Justin is still awake he's allowed to have a midnight snack.  Sometimes it can be a bowl of cereal or popcorn or whatever.  It usually ends up being Oreo's and milk.  This night he wasn't able to sleep from all the excitement from camping and all the kids were sleeping so I let him have a midnight snack of Oreo's and milk.  After he's had about 5 or 6 oreo's his tummy is full and he's ready for bed.
I wonder how long this tradition will last?  I hope forever. Love you my little man!

Sand Hollow State Park

This was our first time camping at Sand Hollow state park in Hurricane, Utah.  There were lots of sage brush and nice red dirt and sand for the kids to play in ( and get everywhere in the trailer).

Our table area was a ways away from the trailer but it was still nice to have a covered area and such a big table for both families to sit at.  We were right by the bathroom and shower area too.

Koda vacuming up all the sand and dirt that mostly he tracked in.  Yes, I do make my kids clean up after themselves.  Oh, and I LOVE my toy hauler.  So nice to have room for the kids to play in the back and not tenting it.  The air conditioning was nice too since we were camping in almost 100 degree weather.

When we got back from St. George this bat thought it would be fun to hide in Terrence and Holly's camp chairs right by the door of their tent trailer.  Jeromy caught it in a cup and I ran for the camera before we set it free.  All the boys thought it was fun to see a bat.

What a beautiful sunset.

St. George

I was so excited to go see the St. George temple!  One of my goals in life is to go see every temple in the world, I know it's a big one but it's a goal.
Our forever family

What handsome future missionaries I have!
I absolutely LOVE this picture.  What makes it so special is that this is true brotherly love.  They did this all on their own.  My boys love to see the temple.  Justin wanted to go inside so bad and wasn't too happy when I told him that he couldn't untill he was bigger.  Maybe when another temple opens up soon we can go to the open house and he can get his opprotunity to go inside.
This is a cotton plant.
I haven't seen these kind of plants for around 20 years.  I used to see these all the time when I lived in Arizona.  Can you believe this is how your cotton shirt starts out?
We had lunch at a park nearby the temple grounds and the boys got to streatch their legs and play for a while.  It was a nice park with shade and a nice playground, one for the big kids and one for the little kids.

We had a nice visit in St. George.  I wish we could've seen more.

A journey back in time

A while ago Jeromy and I were watching the Travel Channel and saw this place on a show they were doing about gems and fossils.  Since Jeromy has family in Delta and we were headed down south to go camping we figured we would stop and see what it was like since the Travel Channel made a big fuss about it.

Our family and Terrence and Holly's family went and dug lots of Trilobites.

The kids got to dig with picks and search just like we did.  If you looked really hard and searched through the shale you could find them without using a pick.  It was nice cuz Brekyn didn't want to stay in his stroller so I got to hold him while the boys and men got to have fun.  It was way exciting to find some unearthed.

Brekyn had fun holding some of the rocks.

My big strong man hunting fossils... Ooo baby!

This is just one type of Trilobite that was there.  Holly found this big one.
Can you believe these were on the earth over 500 million years ago.  Way before the dinosaurs.

This place was way far out of the way but to us it's a once in a lifetime thing to do so we set out and had an adventure.  It was around 52 miles west of Delta, down a well kept dirt road.  This picture is the sign that leads you to the U-dig quarry.  Yeah, down towards the Death Canyon way.  Good thing we were prepared for anything with our trailer in tow.  The dirt road in the picture is the old highway in that area.

This trip was an expensive one but I think what you get out of it in return was worth it.  All the Trilobites you can find and some good family memories.  The boys had fun and it wasn't hot at all which made it pleasant.  I felt really small to think that we were digging in which once used to be a lake before the dinosaurs roamed the earth.
