Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day started off great with the boys finding their loot of goodies.  From mom and Dad and Nanny.  Thanks Nanny for all the great goodies.

Next Justin went to school to have more Valentine's Day fun and Jeromy went off to have his Doctor's Physical test for ( it's a Secret).
Then after school Justin went to his Dentist appointment.  A couple weeks ago Justin had his 6 month check up and they found a permanent tooth ready to come up behind the baby tooth.  And since it wasn't loose then they made an appointment to have it extracted and sealants on his back molars.

They put laughing gas on him and it made him bounce off the wall.  He was acting like a dog swimming and was talking so fast.  Let's just say they took the gas off him so he would hold still for everything.

His dental chart.

The dental assistant doing his sealants.  He was so good for this part.

This is the office we were in.  They are so nice!  Justin loves watching the movies on the TV they have hooked to the ceiling.  Justin picked the movie Cars, to watch this time.

The dentist is getting ready to extract his tooth.  I was so nervous for Justin.  He was so much braver than I would be.  I don't really like the dentist.  He might not after this visit either.  The dentist wiggled his tooth and then told him he would count to 5 and then pull.  He pulled the tooth out on the count of 1.  Justin wasn't as numb as he should've been so he cried after a little. I felt so bad. They had to give him 2 numbing shots and he still felt it.  Crying only a little is extremely brave in my book.  I was so proud of him through the whole ordeal.
The assistant put his tooth in an orange tooth fairy box and gave him 2 tokens to get a treat and a balloon and he was ready to get out of there and go home.

I took him to get a slurpy to make him feel even better and then we headed home.  This picture shows his smile with his mouth still numb.  At least he's smiling and not crying!  What a brave little man I have.

A little later after that Grandma Jackson came over and gave them the Valentine's she had for the boys.  She got them a box of conversation hearts and some pretty cool T-shirts.  Justin got a cool skateboard shirt and the other boys got Monster Jam shirts.  They loved them!  Thanks Grandma Jackson!

After a very full and fun filled Valentine's Day I'm very grateful that I have my sweetheart and best friend to snuggle up too.  We've been married for 11 years almost 12 this year and we've been together for 14 years this month.
Our first date was Feb 97.
I'm looking forward to spending eternity together with my hunk of man and the best husband in the world.

I love you so much honey and I'm so glad to have you and the boys in my life.  My life would not be complete without you.
Love, Me

Alvin the snowman

Before Justin went back to school from Christmas break they were assigned to have help from their family to decorate a snowman in a unique way and write a story about it.  So, that's what we did!
We thought since snowmen are made of fluffy white snow we should use marshmallows for the body and we used captain crunch cereal for the buttons and the eyes, nose and smile.

The story of Justin's snowman went like this:
Hi, my name is Alvin the Snowman.  After dinner I went to my grandma's house and swam in the snowman pool.  All my snowman friends were there too.  We had a fun time.  We had a snack of snowman marshmallows and drank snowman orange pop.

Justin made the whole story up by himself.  It was really easy for him because we were watching Alvin and the chipmunks while we were doing this project and we were eating marshmallows out of the bag and drinking orange pop.  Justin also has this fascination with going swimming in the middle of winter time so of course he thought of Grandma Jackson's pool.
The other snowmen are Dakota's and Jaden's.  Can you guess what their names are?
Simon and Theodor, Alvin's brothers!

Valentine's party

Today was Justin's Valentine's Day party at school.  He was so excited to hand out his valentine's to everyone.  I was just excited to be there to see him and help out with the class.  He had a very fun day.  First they got to color a valentine picture for home room time and then the teacher passed out conversation hearts for their math lesson.
They got to sort all the colors and then make a graph to see how many colors they had.  Then they read a cute valentine's story and while they were doing that Me and another volunteer ( Javis's mom) helped get the cookie decorating stuff ready for each kid.
Each child got 2 huge sugar cookies to decorate.  One cookie had to be decorated symmetrically for another math lesson.  The other cookie could be decorated how ever they wanted.  They had the choice of chocolate or white frosting with Cheerios's, fruit loops, M&M's, chocolate chips, marshmallows and pretzels.
After they were done with that they were allowed to pass out their valentine's.  Everyone was so excited.  Some kept giving the valentine's to the person it was going to instead of putting it in their box. All in all each kid got a ton of candy and goodies that you get when Valentine's are passed out.
It was also fun to see every one's Valentine boxes and how they decorated them.  Some you could tell the parents totally did it on their own and some you could tell just the child did it.  Justin and I decorated his box together.  I cut out hearts and we both glued them and he colored over the whole dang thing.
At least he liked it, that's what matters most!
I'm so glad Jeromy was able to get off work early so I could be there for Justin.  Thanks honey!
I'm glad you had a fun day Justin!  I love volunteering at your school and love you very much.

Oh!  By the way the little girl in the first picture came up to me and gave me a BIG hug!  She was so excited to see me back in the class room again.  I was happy and shocked at the same time that she gave me a hug.  I didn't know I was that big of a help.  Kids are so fun at this age.

Who knew?

Turo and Bailey have become very good friends.  Bailey follows Turo EVERYWHERE!  It's kind of like he's her knight and she's the princess.
I thought these pictures were pretty cute of them laying on the warm tiles ( Sun was shinning that day!)  I don't know what Bailey will do when Turo dies because if she's not right by him or knows where he's at she whines for him.  It's pretty cute but sad too.
Have you ever watch Tom and Jerry?  Do you remember the little dog jumping over the big bull dog?  That's what it's like with these two.
It's like Turo has his own dog.
Oh, how I love my furry children!

Utah's beauty

I love my drive to Justin's school everyday.
A couple of days ago there was not a cloud in the sky and the new snow on top of the mountains was so pretty.  I couldn't help myself, I had to stop and take a picture.  I have such a clear view of the mountains from North Ogden all the way to Salt Lake from Justin's school.  It's breath taking when it's such a clear, sunny day.
Can you believe that God created this beautiful earth and all that's in it?  It's just amazing!  What a great state we live in and what a beautiful country we belong too.
God bless the USA!

Jaden's hat

Some kids have a security blankie or a stuffed animal that they love to snuggle with.  Jaden... well, Jaden has a baseball cap.  When Jeromy coached Justin's T-ball team we had some extra hats so that meant they went to the boys.  Jaden loves to wear his hat all day and as you can see, night time too!  If he doesn't want you to see him he'll hide behind his hat and he likes to wear it slightly towards the left.  That way he can turn his head and pretend that he doesn't see you.  Maybe it turns on his invisible shield?
My funny little Jaden man... Mommy loves you so much!
Oh, if you haven't noticed already he likes to sleep on top of his covers.  I guess he likes to freeze cuz he refuses to get under his covers. I have even tried putting a blanket over him and sometimes that doesn't even work.  Silly boy!
I wonder what funny quirk he'll have next?
I just love my cute little man!
