UP House

Today we went on an adventure to see the "UP" house in Herriman.
Bangerter Homes thought it would be fun to reconstruct the house from the Disney Movie UP.
They got permission to build it and made it almost an exact replica on the inside.  The house on the outside is an exact replica.  It was fun to watch the movie before we went just to refresh our memories on what we were going to see.

Mommy and her little men

I love the look of this kitchen.  It's so classic with the look of the appliances.

They brought in a mural artist to paint this.
Amazing huh!

Master bathroom.  Love the shower!  It's the size of the room!

Who wouldn't want a bubble bath in this!?

Master bedroom

Laundry room.  Almost my dream laundry room.

Pictures up the stairwell.

Same painting above the fireplace.

Pretty sure there's not a garage in the movie but nice addition to this house.

Thought this was cute.
This is supposed to be Andy's room from Toy Story.
But, I'm assuming Jack is the agent for this house.

Really cute girls room.

After walking through the house it was time for lunch so we went to a park in town and ate a picnic lunch and played for a bit.
Just a short adventure but the boys and I had fun.

1st Grade

I can't believe that Justin is in 1st grade!
It's going to be a fun year this year.
He's got an amazing teacher, Mrs. Quitano.
She knows first hand about food allergies since her daughter is allergic to  nuts and almost everything.
It's so reassuring to know that a teacher has personal experience with nut allergies.

Justin has some friends from kindergarten in his class.
His friend Javis gets to sit by him and he's already mentioned that there are a couple of cute girls in his class.
Some of the things he gets to learn this year are:
x2, x3, x4, x5, x6 tables
Division
Memorize the whole constitution
Bill of rights
and tons more.
( I still don't think that's 1st grade curriculum)

Jeromy stopped by before Justin went to school and gave Justin a big First Grade kiss and hug.
Also, the night before, Justin got a fathers blessing so he would do good this school year.
Since he's in First Grade now, we all get to get up early (7am) and join the rest of the school moms taking their kids to school.  We drive past a Jr, High and 2 Elementarys to get to his school in West Kaysville.
School starts at 8:20am and we leave our house at 7:50 am to beat the rush. We usually get to his school around 8:15am.  Not to bad for going past all those schools and waiting for drop off.

Justin also gets to bring his own lunch to school.
Since he's got food allergies it's not worth it to me to pay for school lunch so we've had to be creative with keeping his lunch cold/hot and thinking of lunch ideas.  Thank goodness for ice packs and thermoses.

He also get his own locker now.
When I was in school all I got was a hook to hang my coat and backpack on.
That would've been so cool to have a locker.

His classroom door.

School started Aug 17th and I'm pretty sure even though it will be a very busy school year it's going to be a great one.  I'm still very grateful Justin's in the school he is and still love my drive to his school.  I love seeing the mountains and all the nice homes we drive by.
My boy's education is very important to me and I would do anything and drive anywhere for them.
I LOVE Oquirrh Mountain Charter School!!!!
Go Eagles!!!

Our 12th Anniversary

I can't believe that Jeromy and I have been married for 12 years.
What's even more nuts is that we dated for 3 years before we even were engaged.
We've been together for 15 years!
Crazy to think about but, wouldn't have it any other way.
We were meant to be together.
We finish each others sentences and think the same thoughts.
Have you ever heard the term, gets better with age?
Well I think Jeromy fits that for sure.
I think he gets better looking every year and he's still a very hard worker and does everything possible to provide for his family.
Even if it means sacrificing time with us.
I'm a very lucky woman and I'm so glad we will be together forever.

The past couple of years we haven't done anything for our anniversary because we would rather spend money on our boys than ourselves.
So, this year we were able to go to Lagoon by ourselves after we dropped the boys off with Shea and Laura.
Thanks again guys for watching them and thanks again to Collin and Ginger for the tickets.
We had so much fun at Lagoon!
It was so fun to not worry about the boys and just spend time with my sexy hubby.
Before we headed to Lagoon we stopped at Crown Burger and got Greek Slovakia for dinner
then we met up with Terrence and Holly and rode some rides.
One, I for sure will never go on again is the Cliffhanger.
I'm so not a fan of getting wet in regular clothes and having water splashed in my face.
This ride gets you soaked to the bone.
It was a good thing it was one of the last rides we went on before going home.
The funny thing is that Jeromy and I couldn't stop laughing.
It's a good thing we can try to look on the bright side.

You know your married to the right person when all you want to do is spend time with them.
It doesn't matter what you do or how much it costs.
All that matters is that your together.
I'm so glad we will be together forever.
Love you my sexy hunk of man!
I can't wait for our many more anniversaries to come.

Cold Springs Fish Farm

We thought before school started that it would be fun to take the boys fishing.
I LOVE fishing so I was hoping the boys would like it too.
Let's just say, I can tell who I'll be taking fishing with me if I ever get to go again.
Jeromy and I also loved fishing at the fish farm when we were kids and have fond memories of this fish farm.
The last time we were here was when Jaden was a baby.
I hope the boys had fun.  We sure enjoyed watching their faces when they caught a fish.
I was glad to know that I still had my fisherman's luck.
As soon as I touched one of the boys poles they would catch a fish.
I couldn't believe it!
And that's no fish story either, ha ha ha!

Jeromy caught the first fish.

I think Koda caught the smallest but boy was he a proud fisherman.

I love to fish but I can't stand touching it or eating it.
It's all about the thrill of catching a fish for me.

Brekyn's face was so funny when I pulled his out of the water.
Too bad I didn't have my camera ready.
He wasn't to happy when his fish splashed him after we put the fish in the bucket.
I'd have to agree. Yuck!!

Jaden, my true blue fisherman.
He was totally ok with holding his fish and was so excited to catch more.
I am so proud of him!

It took Justin awhile to catch his but when he did he caught the biggest fish of all.
Good job buddy!

Jaden's second fish was a feisty one.
Jaden caught and pulled his fish out all by himself.
I'm one proud momma!

Koda's second fish was a pretty big one, too.

Justin's second fish.
Biggest of them all.

Fishy kiss, Mwah!

My favorite fisherman.

Mommies little men.

Our catch of the day.

I was so glad we came.
Now if we move we will have one thing checked off our list
and another great family outing to remember.

Lagoon,It's what fun is...

WARNING: PICTURE OVERLOAD!!!!!
*This mom is crazy with a camera*

Jeromy and I haven't been to Lagoon for at least 13 or 14 years, so when Ginger called and asked if we wanted to use Collin's employee appreciation pass we jumped at the chance.  We got everyone in for $10 a person.  You can't beat that!!
Lagoon has changed so much since Jeromy's last time ( Jr, High Lagoon Day)  and my last time ( with the Jackson family while Jeromy was on his senior trip with Jake).
There are so many rides to go on with the kids it made it so fun for all of us.
Justin was tall enough(47 in) to ride almost all of the rides except 3 or 4 and Brekyn was tall enough (36 in)to ride all of the kiddie rides by himself and the other rides with an adult.
If we stay in Utah we are for sure getting Lagoon passports for all of us next year.
Wednesday was the perfect day to go.  The lines were short and it was sunny and warm.
The Carousel was the first ride we came to so we hopped on.

The boys loved all of the flying plane rides.
This one was fun because it had guns to shoot.

After riding Puff the Magic Dragon we rode this ride.
The boys loved being able to control the dragon or manly ladybug they were in.

This car ride was one of my favorites when I was little.
I loved pretending I was really driving a car.
The boys had fun too!

Flying Aces was another one of those favorite plane rides.
There's something about being a boy and wanting to fly your own plane, I guess.
Uncle Vaughn would be so proud.

Another plane ride...
On this ride Koda and Justin met a friend standing in line.
The friend rode in Koda's plane cuz he picked a police one.

Justin was too tall for this ride by an inch so he had to sit out on this one.
There was a huge line for the Baby Boats.  I can see why!
It takes forever for each kid to get in and out safely on this ride plus the kids love to ding the bell.

Riding on the train was a must for all of us.
The boys loved riding and seeing all the animals and Jeromy and I got a short break.

Our next ride was Rattle Snake Rapids.
This ride was nice because it was a chance to get wet and cool off...for the boys.
Me on the other hand, not so much.
As we were standing in line a guy came up and gave me this totally awesome red poncho. (Being sarcastic)
I was grateful because it kept me and the bag dry.  My hair not so much.  Owell, that's what ya get when you ride a water ride, right?
Jeromy and Brekyn got the worst of it.
They were soaked by the waterfall and the other boys fled to the dry side of the raft when we came to that point.
After the ride was done all you heard was, "Can we go again!?"

Lagoon wouldn't be fun without bumper cars.
This was for sure the boys favorite ride.
Boys and bumper cars, a perfect match.

The last ride of the boys' day was the Dragon fly.
Who can resist swings that fly really fast?!
After the ride was done it was time for the boys to head home for some dinner and fun with Shea, Laura and Joey. They were nice enough to watch the boys while Jeromy and I came back and had fun by ourselves.
Thanks Shea and Laura for everything!

After dropping off the boys and eating some yummy dinner we met up with Terrence and Holly.
Jeromy and Terrence didn't want to ride the Music Express so Holly and I did.
To me this is just one ride you have to go on.  It was so fun!

Bumper cars were so much fun when you didn't know how to drive.
This is the only ride you could go on and crash into a police officer and not get a massive ticket.
Thank goodness I have connections!

Who is that sexy man?

I'm so glad we had the chance to go to Lagoon and have fun with the boys.
They were so good and didn't complain once.
It was almost as fun with the boys as it was by ourselves.
Thanks so much Collin and Ginger for giving our family the opportunity to have such a fun filled time at Lagoon.
I can't wait to take the boys again.
