Joey's Birthday at the Ogden Raptors Game
Laura and Shea thought it would be fun to invite both families out to the Ogden Raptors baseball game to celebrate Joey's 1st birthday. It was a great idea and a great day for it.
We thought it would be fun to get a picture with the mascot the Raptor. Joey didn't think it was very fun...
Brekyn was just grateful it wasn't a purple dinosaur.
Uncle Chris helped Justin catch a foul ball. He was so excited that he caught a ball he was beaming from ear to ear! Thanks Uncle Chris!!! At the end of the game Chris took Justin to get the ball signed by some of the players. He got 6 signatures! Needless to say Justin had a blast.
Joey was having so much fun walking around on the bleachers and playing with cousins. What a cute kid! Gotta love that smile!
Next month it will be your turn Brekyn!
Thanks Shea and Laura for inviting us to the game and for all the fun!
Happy 1st Birthday Joey!!

Riding Horses
Sunday we went over to Uncle Vaughn's house for my niece Chelsea's birthday party and had a great time as always. At the end of the party Chelsea got one of the horses saddled up and the kids went for a ride. Dakota got to ride before I could get my camera out so that's why there are no pictures of Koda. Sorry buddy! Justin got to ride all by himself and learned how to take the riens and guide the horse. I decided that I wanted to take a chance and ride even if my allergies would be bad. I haven't been riding for a LONG time. It felt good to be back in the saddle again. Chelsea had showed us that she could stand on the horse so I tried and did it! It was so much fun and I felt a little young again. And I was surprised that my allergies weren't too bad. I only got a couple of hives on my arm and some sniffles.
It was such a fun time. Thanks Uncle Vaughn and Chelsea for letting us ride.
Happy Birthday Chelsea!

Pioneer Day
The 24th of July is a special day in Utah. We celebrate and honor the pioneers coming to Utah. I'm so grateful to those brave pioneers for crossing the plains and settling in the promised land. This state has a wonderful beauty of it's own. The majestic mountains, the red cliffs in the south and the wonderful spirit of the church. I'm so grateful to belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Since this was a special day we diecided that we would do some fireworks of our own at home and let the kids pick what fireworks they wanted to see. Groundflowers and fountains are our favorites! I wish my camera battery didn't die after a few minutes into our fireworks to show the boys faces. Owell, next year right?
Happy Poineer Day!
The Pizza Factory
We decided to go to the pizza factory for Lunch on Saturday because we had a gift certificate and thought it would be fun to take the kids out for lunch.
The pizza was good and I LOVE their bred twists but by the time the bill came... well lets just say even with the gift certificate for 10.00 it was still expensive and we won't be taking our family there again to eat. Ouch!
It's worth going to Chuckie Cheeses and eating there and playing games. Owell the food was good and we've learned our lesson.

Look who's potty trained!
Koda did it! Buzz Lightyear is one of his prizes for filling up his chart. The other prize was going to McDonald's for dinner and playing at their playground. Wyatt, Zach and Holly came, too! The boys had so much fun!
We used this chart and put a sticker for everytime he went potty. Now he goes all by himself and stays dry through the night! Way to go Koda! You have no idea how proud I am of you! It makes me so happy to see that your such a big boy and it's great to see the confidence in you, also.
There is nothing you can't do.
Justin's in Kindergarten
Justin's first day of Kindergarten was on Tuesday and he was so excited to go! He loves going to school and meeting new kids and learning new things. His teachers name is Mrs. Pound. Unfortunately his school is on a year round schedule but the track( Track A) he's on is ok. He'll end his school year a couple days before Memorial Day.
His first day of school was a little bit of a mess because I thought that we could just drop him off and leave and then pick him up when the school day was out. Oh no! The teacher wanted the parents to stay with them the WHOLE time and do a couple crafts with them and go over things for the school year. Which was great with me but I had all the boys with me. It made for one heck of a time.
After the day was done it was lunch time so I took the boys to Burger King and then to a park to play to try and make up for the bad beggining of his school year. He still had fun and the best part of all is I didn't cry when he started school.

Clinton City Fireworks
This year's fireworks have been great and it's been SO NICE having Jeromy there for almost all of them. We watched the Clinton City Fireworks with Kael and Holly and thier kids and Dustin and his kids. The cousins love to play together and had so much fun rolling down hills and playing catch with their glow bracelets. The grown up cousins love to get together too when it's possible. It was a great night. I can't believe how much my boys are growing.
Turo's Granddaughter
Remember this is how dogs say Hello...
It's not very often that we get to see one of Turo's decendents so when Jeromy brought Turo's granddaughter home we figured we would take pictures of the occasion. Turo is such an AWSOME police dog and I've heard all of his kids have been great police dogs too. And just so you know, we did not keep her. I'm so sick of dog hair that I won't have another german shepard in the house after Turo.
She was so cute a boy was she fiesty.

Justin's done it again!
Jeromy and I thought it would be good to show Justin how to ride a bike without training wheels. A couple of Justin's friends can ride a two wheeler so we thought we would see if Justin wanted to do that too.
It didn't take too long for Justin to learn. Go Buddy Go!
Run Daddy Run!
Look at him go! Now he'll be riding everywhere. My baby boy is growing up so fast. One more to check off on the list of things he can do. I'm proud of you Justin!

Justin's newest accomplishment
It's been a couple of days since it happend but I figured since Justin has been so excited about it I would let everyone know that Justin has learned to tie his shoe laces!!! He's growing up so fast and in a week he'll be going to Kindergarten. I marvel at what Justin can do and how smart he is. He's such an amazing boy. I'm so proud of you Justin for being so grown up and being able to tie your shoe laces. What a big accomplishment! I love you my man! It's been so fun watching him learn and grow and I can't wait to see what will be next.

Homemade Freezer Jam
A couple years ago we planted Raspberry bushes in our garden area and it's taken this year for them to really produce. Last year we got about a handful and this year so far, we got about 3 cups worth. Enough to make homemade freezer jam. Oh so Yummy!
This is how much 3 cups worth of fresh home grown raspberries makes of freezer jam.
I think we are set for the rest of the summer. I love growing a garden and tasting the fruits of our labors.

Layton City Fireworks
On Monday we went to see the Layton City fireworks. Since Terrence and Holly live so close we just went to their house and walked to the school next door and picked a nice spot on the grass. The boys had a wrestling match with Jeromy and I think the boys won. Or Jeromy let them win either way they had fun! Untill the sprinklers turned on! We ran as fast as we could and tried to gather the boys and the blankets and whatever else. Oh the memories we will have! When we finally got settled on another spot and the fireworks started we heard an all familiar sound. The sprinklers again!! Ahhh! Needless to say we learned that the next time we go to see the fireworks there we will make sure to sit in another spot where the sprinklers don't turn on untill the fireworks are over.
Oh, Layton fireworks are SO much better than Clearfields. Sorry Clearfield but this year it's true. Their fireworks were AWSOME! I would've taken better pictures but my wonderful camera battery died.
What a great night!

Fourth of July weekend fun
Jaden wanted to get in the pool Sooo bad! He's not supposed to for a week because of his tubes in his ears but when I had to run and get a towel for one of the boys Grandpa and Daddy let him in. Ugh!
Grandpa and Dakota having a water squirter fight.
Justin joined in and made sure to get everyone, including Me! That's what I get for being in the pool area I guess. At least they all had fun!
Brekyn the fish LOVES the pool! Daddy was having fun seeing Brekyn kick his legs in the pool.
When we got home Dakota was so tired that he crashed on the chair and fell asleep. He had a fun, busy, long day. So did the rest of the boys.
After the day's activities we went to the Clearfield City fireworks. This year we decided to park by Baskin Robins to watch the fireworks just in case Jaden wasn't feeling good, then we could go home fast. Nanny and Uncle Vaughn came and joined us.
We sat in the bed of the truck and ate ice cream and waited for the fireworks to start. We could still see the high ones and we got home in 10 minutes when all was done. Sounds like a winner to me.
Jaden and Dakota are Uncle Vaughn's buddies.
A taste of Clearfield City's finest! I used my fireworks mode on my camera. I thought they looked kinda cool.
All in all it was a fun day!
