Pumpkin Patch
Ooh, the pumpkin patch. How I love this time of year! All the fall colors and the crispness in the air. The fun fall activities and of course... PUMPKINS! I'm so excited this year because Brekyn is old enough to walk and do some of the activities that we've done with the boys in years past. Jaden is old enough to go trick or treating and will be able to go up with Justin and Koda and say, "Trick or Treat!"
The past couple of years we've gone to Black Island farms and picked out our pumpkins there and done all the fun activities but this year I got to take the boys by myself to pick out pumpkins (I'm getting myself prepared for our SECRET JOB, yet to be revealed). Let me just give myself some credit because I hardly do that but, I DID IT!!! It might not look like a hard job to take 4 boys to pick out pumpkins but believe me it's hard. Especially if you want to document all the fun and keep them out of trouble and put each child's pumpkin in the wagon and keep them from arguing about which pumpkin is the best and biggest. Wow that was a lot of work just to type that! JK! Anyway, we went to the Day farm's this year to get our pumpkins because we drive by it everyday on our way to Justin's school and it's a cute place to take pictures with all those pumpkins in the background. They make great seats, too!
Justin won the biggest pumpkin contest this year for our family and Mom and Dad's pumpkin came in second. Koda's was third and Jaden's 4th. Brekyn's pumpkin, well, his was last but maybe next year he'll be able to pick out one of his own. Justin's pumpkin weighed in at 29 lbs. They had a good time and each one of them loves the pumpkin they picked out which is what matters most. Happy Fall Everyone!
