Jeromy and the other K-9 officers in Davis county had K-9 training at the shop quite often.

This was Jeromy's K-9 truck.

About a month ago Jeromy got called into the Lieutenant's office with his Sargent and had a meeting about retiring Turo ( Let's just say Jeromy's Sargent is sick of all the comp time Jeromy gets and is sick of Jeromy taking time off for the SWAT team too.)  Jeromy gave a great argument on why they needed to keep Turo on the force for at least another 6 months, but it did no good.  The Lieutenant called today before Jeromy went to work and told him not to bring Turo to work today because the mayor of Clearfield approved Turo retiring. 

So, how does this change our lives?  Jeromy's paychecks will now be at least a couple hundred dollars lower and he won't get comp time anymore.  He's also had to trade in his truck for a car and doesn't get calls for him and Turo to go search for criminals.  We now get all the expenses of having a K-9 dog like Vet visits often and making sure he's fed with top quality food, etc.  And to make it worse on Jeromy, Jeromy will have hit his 4 years on the SWAT team and they will probably take him off that too beginning January.  

Jeromy absolutely loves his job and loved being Clearfield City's K-9 officer.  He enjoyed doing the school demonstrations, searching with Turo ( which they have both gotten  tons of recognition letters for and thank you's for doing such a great job on the search), making some great friends at K-9 training and having the best partner in whole world.  Who better to back you up than an officer that would go into danger and give his life for you in a heart beat.

Turo has been one AMAZING dog!  He's been so great with the boys and everyone else's kids too.  He gives me good night kisses every single night and loves to give hugs just about every hour of every day.  When he was younger he was the #1 K-9 dog in Utah.  As far as I'm concerned Clearfield City retired THE BEST K-9 dog they've ever had.  Their loss is our gain!  

We love you Turo.  Thank you so much for protecting Jeromy for the past 3 years.  Now you can enjoy your time at home just lounging around like a normal dog.
